Coquitlam Power and Sail Squadron

Getting back to learning more! Did GPS in February with Norvan and Seamanship with Port Moody - finished in early April. Last course was 28 years ago so this was like scrubbing rust off old parts. Now for some on-the-water time. I hope to see you at events and meetings soon.

Howdy Bill saw your pics of sunken boats and fancy compasses, how the search for a trawler going? lots of good deals I imagine. See you tonight?

Hi Cedric,
I liked the GPS course at NorVan, as with most CPS courses, they only send the keeners out to teach. I'm not ready for the electronic one yet as I don't even own a boat right now! I took the Seamanship course this winter with Port Moody (because of their Thursday nights - I'm previously committed to Tuesday nights) and will likely do the Advanced course with them as well.

Hi Bill, Good to see you on the site. How did you like the GPS course? I taught the GPS and Electronic Charting courses for Coquitlam Squadron, and am curious how you liked the Norvan course? Are you likely to be interested in continuing with the Electronic Charting course in the future?
